Hello! I'm Lamisa
so glad you dropped by!
Since I was young, I have always gravitated toward the creative. Art gave me a voice when words fell short: a way to express parts of myself that did not quite fit within the usual academic lines. I saw it as a hobby for a long time, something I turned to for comfort and joy. I never imagined I would one day build an academic and professional path around it.
But life has a funny way of leading you where you’re meant to be. I pursued a dual major in Digital Technology & Emerging Media and Visual Arts at Fordham University, and what once felt like a passion became a purpose. It was intimidating at first, being surrounded by so much talent and experience, but I leaned into the challenge, learning the tools and gaining the confidence I needed to grow and create.
At Fordham, I have been lucky to be able to apply my creativity beyond the classroom. As President of the Fordham Art Club and Vice President of the Islamic Arts and Henna Club, I have hosted creative events, led social media interaction, and built spaces where art and community intersect. These experiences have shaped not just my skillset but my belief in art as a collaborative force.
Most recently, I interned at Allison Brod Marketing + Communications as a Beauty Intern, where I gained firsthand insight into how visual storytelling, branding, and digital media shape the way we experience products. It showed me how art and strategy can come together in powerful ways.
I am always excited to meet fellow creatives, exchange ideas, and build something meaningful. Let’s connect and maybe even create something beautiful together.
a little about me...
